A COUNTDOWN TO MIDNIGHT

The year 2022 is on its final lap, with only a few more steps to A Brand New Year! YES 2023 is here and the resolutions will have to wait a tad more for we have a much important task at hand! We want to bid farewell to this year in the most inclusive way possible for we are grateful and beyond emotional for an eventful year such as 2022 –Of soaring highs, settler collaborations and multiple milestones! We want to thank you for being on the Raas Journey with us and making it a success, we wish that in the coming years too, we will be able to deliver to more visions together and building a Raas Community that celebrates textile traditions and long set cultures in a language that is defined through design and style.
Before we lose ourselves to well-lit swooning parties and celebrations, let us throwback to moment defining events and people from 2022!

A STAR-STUDDED YEAR

An eloquent round-up of eminent faces from the Industry who chose Frontier Raas for their important dates:

SONAM BAJWA

Actor, Model a leading face in the Punjabi Film Industry Sonam Bajwa is well known for her eccentric taste and style. The actor is a stunner; and it was quite easy for us to fix her three intricate lehengas for we knew she’d look beautiful in whatever she chooses to wear. For her first look we gave her a gorgeous pastel peach multi kali lehenga illustrated with precision needle work that brings to life geometric architectural patterns. This lehenga borrows from contemporary design culture and looked best on our young actor. While, the second look borrowed from traditional design culture of heritage aesthetics, lending our Rajasthani Red bridal lehenga the opulence it needed, the lehenga was styled traditionally too with the sheer veil framing the head, the vivacious reds, golds and orange reflected beautifully on Sonam. With the third look we wanted a confluence of both worlds, and immediately decided on our Raw Silk Lehenga that featured unconventional colour palette for a lehenga, the lehenga is an ornament in itself studded like an heirloom piece of jewelry of Emeralds and all that glitters.

Gauhar Khan

Chose our Ivory Gown from Taraasa our Couture Brand for her debut at the Red Carpet of Cannes! A major fashion event set in Paris is marked important in every fashion enthusiast’s calendar and we are so proud to make it to the most prominent Red carpet of the year. The gown was crafted in sheer neck flaunting a pleated cowl neck tracing the body and opening into a wide silhouette below. The gown features glimmering floral motifs done with Swarovski and sequin and a series of feathers bellowing on the flare punctuating movement and texture. This gown was picked from our recent collection Modern Heirlooms inspired by and for the Modern women who are unapologetically fierce and fabulous.

MUKTI MOHAN

A popular face from Prime time television, this dancing diva is also a TV Host, a real time charmer on screen and off-screen. Her fashion game is always on point, as she is consistent on experimenting and serving looks. Miss Mohan chose a Couture lehenga for a wedding she attended from our Couture Brand Taraasa. While we were planning mood boards and talking inspiration for this collection, we knew one thing right from the beginning that this collection had to be inspired for and from the strong, independent girls. We wanted to encapsulate authenticity & uniqueness and celebrate it, this year was dedicated to this notion and each piece signified it gloriously. We were ecstatic when Mukti figured her way to our Mustard lehenga, for who better than the bombshell herself to reiterate our philosophy.

LATIKA NATH

Hands down our most favorite collaboration so far, featuring The Tiger Princess- Mrs. Latika Nath author, photographer and wildlife conservationist along with her mother shared with us the love for the homegrown textiles. We shot an intimate interview with the mother daughter duo, where they expressed their innate love for handloom sarees and treasured heirloom pieces. They for the interview were styled in Pure zari kota silk sarees punctuated with motifs of the animal kingdom that reiterated their love for the wild and Indian tapestry.

P V SINDHU

She is a star who rocks her athleisure fits in the court and lets her hair loose while she transforms into a whole different diva off it. P V Sindhu recently chose Frontier Raas to shop two exquisite lehengas for important events! We are so glad that we are now quaintly acquainted with this mega star, who put Indian badminton on the map!

A RIDE TO REMEMBER

This year not only did we style and collaborate with names like Komal Pandey who wore a banarasi silk saree from our Raas Saris of India for her presence online, or Kangana Ranaut who wore a quintessential suit set to movie promotions, Nusrat, or Annu Emanuel who posed in silhouettes from The House, but we also grew as a brand in terms of our clientele. The Raas family grew this year way stronger, our socials crossed the 1 Lakh mark and every day we only grow bigger. This year like last seven decades we rejoiced in making bridal trousseau dreams come true for Brides here and across the world, with the help of our crème teams assigned to assist and curate personally and virtually. Our international shows in London were a big hit amongst our counterparts aka the NRI brides living there! Our website gained popularity amongst people living across the globe, for now they can shop from a wide selection of Premium Indian wear from the comfort of their homes and from any part of the world.

2022 was a stepping stone for 2023. With the launch of our new store in Pitampura, Delhi we ushered the beginning of a new era for Frontier Raas! With plans for new stores in New Locations across the world await. This year we plan to enter the world and set camp for the Indian textile culture interwoven in contemporary nuances. Never seen before collaborations, collections and concepts that’ll leave a timeless mark in your memory!.
